The geotectonic evolution of the Assyntic structures in Argentina is discussed. Evidence points to a structural organization and evolution which include eugeosync1ines and miogeosynclines. Pre-flysch, flysch, molasse and neomolasse deposits can be identified as well as successive tectonic, plutonic and volcanic episodes of geosynclinal and post-geosynclinal stages.
