This work describes a rock found as a xenolith in an ultrabasic body of serpentinite, situated in the vicinity of Liberdade, south of the State of Minas Gerais. Its mineralogical assemblage is predominantly composed of andradite, followed by hornblende and quartz, having zircon, kyanite and zoisite as accessory minerals. It is thought that such rock represents an equilibrium assemblage in a transitional facies, probably between the eclogite and amphibolite facies.
